Nora Daniels

Financial Planner Assistant

My journey to financial planning started in 2013. At Bentley University I majored in Marketing with a concentration in Global Perspectives and minored in French. Along with my degree, I got an unexpected gift: student loans. The word ‘gift’ is not a typo; having loans lead me to find my passion for finance. By working 3 jobs, I was able to pay off all my loans in 11 months. As I got further from the day I walked across the stage to accept my diploma, I spent more and more time learning about personal finances.

While I had a fun and interesting career in marketing for 8 years, the pandemic made me take a step back and think about how I wanted to spend the rest of my life. I got to thinking of those long-gone loans: of how interesting and exciting I found it to navigate that space, and to all the experiences since then that have made it clear that I was meant to be in financial planning.

I am so excited to join the Rope Team and make my dream of working in finance a reality. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy traveling, running, and spending time with my family. Here are a few other fun facts to get to know me a little better:

Favorite Food: Vegetable masala

Favorite Drink: Coffee, preferably Dunkin’ Donuts iced

Favorite Book: Fiction: Anything by Scott Westerfeld or Liane Moriarty. Nonfiction: Atomic Habits by James Clear

Favorite Sports Teams: Red Sox, Tottenham Hotspurs, and the New Zealand All Blacks. I do like all the Boston sports teams!

Favorite Place: I LOVE to travel, so choosing one place is impossible. The place I most recently fell in love with is Cusco, Peru, where my husband and I hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu to celebrate our first wedding anniversary.
